Who we are

We are a group of residents advocating for safer, more accessible bicycle infrastructure across Nassau County, particularly on the South Shore. Nassau County has a high population density, which contributes to growing traffic congestion. With flat terrain, limited space for new or wider roads, and most daily trips covering only short distances, biking is a practical and efficient alternative. To move more people without adding more cars, we need to redesign our existing road space to support other forms of travel.

Despite over 20 years of plans and proposals, Nassau County still has very little bicycle infrastructure. The Department of Public Works has consistently failed to implement meaningful projects, leaving residents with few safe options to travel without a car.
